Let the adventure begin!!

Here is the blog I'm gonna be doing to keep everyone updated as to my status and whereabouts for the next several months as I scamper around South America. Hopefully there will be tons of awesome pictures and fun stories. Obviously I would love to hear from all of you guys as well. I will have access to internet fairly regularly for Skype (eric.ahearn), email (eric.ahearn@gmail.com or ema25@case.edu), and Facebook so don't hesitate to keep me posted about whats happening back in the US of A.

So now for an actual update: in 3 days exactly I will be en route to Indianapolis International Airport (I should probably think about starting to pack at some point...) for the 11 hour trip to Quito which includes stops in Cincinnati and Atlanta. The first couple of days there will probably be pretty crazy with school and program orientations, and then I start classes Wednesday. I will update this when I can, but no promises.
